We currently support:
- Editing the cost basis of minttransactions of NFTs. This is useful if the system has picked up the wrong cost basis or is missing it on amintNFT transaction.
- Initial support for NFTs on Ethereum, we currently ingest most NFTs on Ethereum, and transactions associated with them, on any Ethereum address you have on CoinTracker. We are also calculating cost bases for NFTs so you can file your taxes.
Note:
CoinTracker is continuosly working on improving support for NFTs and it's likely some types of transactions won't be picked up correctly. We’d love your feedback on what works, what doesn't, what seems illogical, etc.! Additionally, we have initial support for NFTs on other chains such as Polygon (MATIC), Solana (SOL) and others. We currently do not support:
- Direct edits to NFT tokens but do support transaction edits for fungible tokens
- The ability to select NFT tokens when creating new manual transactions or adding / editing assets to existing transactions
Additionally, we have initial support for NFTs on other chains such as Polygon (MATIC), Solana (SOL) and others.

NFT Value

- You guys/gals rocks. Really appreciate how quickly you add functionality to this platform. 2 I think adding Valuations (floor value) to NFTs would be great. As an example, I moved ETH over to my metamask wallet and bought NFTs on opensea. The ETH is being tracked and accounted for as an outflow. However, value currently resides in NFTs at the "Floor Price."

NFT Support Gone

NFT support has seemingly just disappeared. When buying or minting NFTs it just shows a send transaction with the amount of ETH but no NFT. When selling an NFT it just shows a receive transaction with no NFT. This makes the platform unusable if you have many NFT trades.

Insufficient balance error for NFT sale due to missing NFT mint/purchase

I'm receiving an insufficient balance error because I have sold an NFT, which I did sell it. For some reason the transaction for me buying the NFT isn't recorded so I get an insufficient balance. The problem is, I can't seem to find a way to add a transaction for that specific NFT to make this error go away. I want to keep the transaction so I can keep correct crypto balances in my wallets; however, I've been getting ready to do my NFT purchases as a supplement for my taxes anyhow.

CT-kQEbVnYX: thanks for your follow up. We are still investigating the gas fee issue and have no updates. To set expectations, this issue will likely not be resolved by tax deadline in the US. The best workaround in the meantime would be to manually edit the cost basis https://support.cointracker.io/hc/en-us/articles/4413049746193-Can-I-edit-the-cost-basis-of-my-own-transactions-

Support for NFTs

Absolutely need metamask NFT integration for tax forms. Currently NFTs bought with crypto correctly show up as crypto-to-USD conversions with taxable gains/losses, but the subsequent sale of the NFT shows up as a new deposit. Sales need to take into account the cost basis of the original NFT purchase in USD for calculation of gain/loss. Since the NFT sale is then denominated in crypto, the subsequent sale of the crypto received in return for the NFT takes as its cost basis the date of the NFT sale that generated it. This should be simple to program, but it is essential. None of the other tax software currently has this functionality.
