BlockFi CSV parser problems (skipping transactions or failing)
complete
Eivind
The BlockFi import in CoinTracker is skipping transactions or does not import the file at all.
🚧
Yet to be supported:
- BIA DepositandBIA withdrawal, possibly also non-interest-bearing account transactions
When the BlockFi CSV file appears to import but has actually skipped transactions, this results in incorrect balances for users, including negative balances.
As a workaround, users can change the BlockFi CSV file to the CoinTracker CSV format, then use this import process instead. If you do this, be sure to delete the wallet added via the BlockFi importer so you won't have duplicates. Full instructions can be found here:

This is now resolved. 'BIA Deposit' and 'BIA Withdrawal' are now supported. Users should see all all transactions from their native Blockfi CSV imported into CoinTracker.
If you experience any other CSV import related issues we recommend users can change the BlockFi CSV file to the CoinTracker CSV format, then use this import process instead. If you do this, be sure to delete the wallet added via the BlockFi importer so you won't have duplicates. Full instructions can be found here:

Skip BlockFi transactions with no timestamp
Eivind
When exporting transaction history from BlockFi, transactions that are incomplete (i.e. unfunded ACH deposit, card transactions) are included in the exported CSV. These transactions have no timestamps and should be skipped when importing.

The "BIA Withdraw" in my case are just withdrawal transactions from Blockfi to my cold wallet. Can I just rename them Withdrawal or something to make this import correctly? Seriously guys, how long do you need to fix these issues?
I imported the BlockFi export csv file unedited into Koinly and it works just fine. You need to get your shit together ASAP or like others I'll be forced to move also.

i was able to work around this and fix balances by going into blockfi's csv and replacing "Loan Collateral Release" and "BIA Withdraw" types with "Withdrawal", turning the amount negative, and then adding in another withdrawal that represented my interest repayment. then i labeled these edited txs all as "margin fee" in cointracker after uploading. hope this helps
note that I have recently paid back my blockfi loan and my account balance is near 0. this is almost certainly not the most correct way to report but it fixes the balance at least

For BlockFi interest, I use the 12 monthly statements to add up the data to add in one line in the 1040 tax filing schedule B part 1.
Of course if interest is payed in Lite coin the total reflects the value of the Lite coin at the end of each month, which has changed by the end of the year.
Since the interest was paid on Bitcoin (and others) the amount of interest varied each month even though the amount of Bitcoin did not.
