Fees are being mishandled for some imported public addresses on Bitcoin (BTC) blockchain
complete
Emma - CoinTracker
As a user, when I import my bitcoin address I expect that transactions with fees are imported correctly as separate entries in transactions.
Some users have reported that when importing certain bitcoin addresses, CoinTracker is not handling fees correctly. Users may see fees being included in the outgoing / sent quantity and the fee entry empty.
Here is an example of what users may see:
Sent Receive Fee
1.002 BTC -- --
How it should be imported:
Sent Receive Fee
1 BTC -- .002 BTC
We will share updates here as we investigate. In the meantime, users can manually edit impacted transactions to handle the fee correctly.

This is now resolved, the fix we implemented is for transactions with a single sender, we now set the fee and subtract it from the outflow.
Users should remove and re-add their BTC wallets to see this update applied to retroactive transactions. CAUTION: Removing your wallet will remove manual edits for that wallet. Should you decide not to remove and re-add your wallet all future synced transactions should be imported correctly, users will need to fix any erroneous transactions manually. Thank you for your patience!
