Users report synced transactions from their Coinbase exchange being mapped to their Asset Vault or Asset Staking wallets instead of the Asset wallets causing balance differences erroneously.
Coinbase Vaults and Staking wallets are not a trading wallet but act as a secure storage wallet within Coinbase exchange and as such should only record transfers into and out of vault wallets. See more here.
Users may see the following:
Trade transaction, say 1800 USD for 1 ETH, by default CoinTracker identifies the wallets as Coinbase USD wallet and Coinbase ETH wallet but in this case users are seeing Coinbase USD wallet and Coinbase ETH vault. All trade transactions should be mapped to the asset Coinbase ETH wallet.
Users can manually edit the transaction and update the erroneous vault wallet with the correct ETH wallet (Image 1).
We have escalated this behavior to our engineering team and will follow up on this post once a fix is deployed.
