Unable to log into account due to IP address being blocked
complete
Sam - CoinTracker
As a user, I expect to be able to log into my CoinTracker account reliably and have the ability to recover my account if unable to access it.
Users report being blocked from logging into their CoinTracker account due to their IP address being flagged as suspicious (Image 1). CoinTrackers authentication system blocks user logins if there is suspicious activity such as too many attempted and failed logins or too many password reset requests. In most cases, Cointracker will allow users to reset their password to unblock themselves but if too many requests are made the IP address of the user will be flagged in our system.
Users are able to access their account via a different IP address, this can be done using a VPN. Our team is reviewing this behavior, we will update this post as we explore how to improve the user experience while prioritizing user security. Thank you for your patience.

If access is needed urgently, the VPN workaround can be utilized.
If the behavior persists beyond 24 hours please reach out to the CoinTracker support team directly or re-submit this post with updated details.
