Display assets staked in self-custody wallets
Users Feature Request:
- CoinTracker supports staking with the stake tag. This tag ensures cost basis is kept and no taxable events are recorded when you stake or unstake assets.
- Users want to track their staked assets in CoinTracker. For example, if a user stakes 32 ETH, we show the ETH leaving and the portfolio decreases by 32 ETH. Users want to see their staked assets in their portfolio.
As a user, what can I do?

This problem is not just for self custody. This holds true for assets such as BTC & USDC on Kraken that are on Bonded DeFi Earn Wallets. They do not show up in CoinTracker. Note that the BTC does show up if it is not in the "DeFi Earn Wallet".

I use Exodus wallet to stake eth and sol and even when I manually add the amounts staked it still doesn't show up in my cointracker portfolio - I really do not understand why cointracker can't get two major tokens with a very popular wallet to work or even show up in wallet options. I don't like being cynical but my guess is that cointracker is a cash cow for the owners and they couldn't be bothered to spend the money and hire more people to fix basic problems.

Still having this problem, would love to avoid the hassle of having to manually adjust for every staking transaction.

I use a work-around (temporarily) by adding a manual transaction and enter the staked asset amount in incoming assets box and mark the category as unstake. This allows to see the cost basis and enables me to reconcile the staking balances. Once I am done, I delete the manual / dummy unstake transaction.
When you enter balance more than actually staked, it will show an error saying missing staking balance as well. That works as a good reconciliation to verify that all staking transactions are marked in the cointracker correctly if you have another source (usually where you have staked your tokens) to verify your staked balances.

Second comment (could not find the first...)
For staking in place it would be nice to be able to STAKE Send=nCoins Receive=nCoins and remove stake with UNSTAKE the same way...
