What is the issue?
Generating Form 8949 Attachment Pages for tax years 2024 and earlier returns an error message: “Failed to generate tax report, please try again later.”
Who is affected?
Users attempting to download Form 8949 Attachment Pages for any year prior to 2025.
What is the workaround?
No workaround available.

Form 8949 Attachment Pages are currently available for the 2025 tax year only. The option to generate this report for prior tax years has been removed to ensure accurate reporting expectations.
