What is the issue?
When syncing Gemini accounts via API, ETH private staking transactions, as found in the Gemini transactions CSV, are not being imported. This results in balance differences flagged for Gemini ETH wallets.
Who is affected?
Users who stake ETH on Gemini and rely on API sync for transaction tracking.
What is the workaround?
Users can manually add the missing ETH private staking transactions, or wait for a fix from the team.

Integrate /v1/staking/history and /v1/staking/rewards into your Gemini API importer
Automatically synchronize all Gemini Staking Pro transactions (no CSV uploads, no manual intervention)
Reflect staking income correctly and reliably in my tax calculations
This is the core value of your service, and I expect it to work end-to-end via API.

I first raised this issue early last year (2025) and have been actively trying to get it resolved ever since. Despite multiple support tickets and follow-ups, Gemini Staking Pro transactions are still not fully imported, making CoinTracker unusable for accurate reporting.
As a result, I was unable to use CoinTracker for my 2025 taxes due to incomplete transaction uploads. This is now urgent with the upcoming tax season, and automatic API support (not manual uploads) is required to ensure correct tax calculations.

Also is there a difference between "private" staking mentioned in the title above and the standard Gemini ETH staking offered?

It's important to know that staked Gemini ETH is not counted toward the user's overall portfolio total value as staked ETH is tracked as an outflow.
This results in a lower total portfolio value.

We now support some ETH staking transations for Gemini via API.
We are still working to add support for Gemini ETH Private staking transactions.
You can remove and re add Gemini to your CoinTracker account to get the latest ETH staking improvements. You can also reach out to Support if you do not want to remove your Gemini account and only wish to to sync these transactions going forward.
