What is the issue?
Some users receive the error message:
“The uploaded PDF does not appear to be a valid 1099-DA document. No proceeds data could be extracted.”
This prevents the system from extracting proceeds data from their 1099-DA PDF.
What is the workaround?
Users can:
  • Ensure they are uploading the original, unedited 1099-DA PDF downloaded directly from their exchange.
  • Try re-downloading the PDF and re-uploading it.
  • If the issue persists, users can manually enter proceeds data, or wait for a fix
