Users may experience: Users report the Portfolio Value displayed on the Dashboard and Performance page is different from what's shown on the performance chart. Users expect these values to be the same. Expected behavior: The values are expected to be the same if the account has no balance difference. The Portfolio Value will not match what is shown on the performance chart if the user has balance differences. See our article on reported vs calculated values here. As a user, what should I do? Allow users to download a PDF and/or CSV of the performance page that formats nicely into a statement similar to what banks, brokerages or other financial account providers do.

Users Feature Request: As a user, if I have a bankrupt exchange (eg Celsius, FTX) that is still connected to CoinTracker via API, the reported balance displayed on the Wallets page can be out of sync (and will never update). And because the Wallets page shows reported balances , and not balances as calculated by the CoinTracker transactions, there are balance discrepancy warnings. (For more info on reported vs calculated balances, please see this article ) As a user, what can I do? Users Feature Request: When creating a manual transaction for an asset that was not imported via a synced wallet or exchange, that new asset does not appear in the wallets page under that wallet or exchange. If I add a transaction with a new asset, I would expect that asset to appear in my wallets page under the wallet or exchange that I added the transaction to. The new asset will appear in My Assets list on my Dashboard. As a user, what can I do? As a user, the wallets page list of assets per wallet or exchange does not affect your tax calculations. Your tax calculations are based on the transactions in your account. So as long as the transactions are imported or manually added the CoinTracker tax calculations will be accurate. We recommend users continue to add missing transactions if applicable those assets will be visible in the My Assets list AND be utilized in your tax summary. Includes allocating certain wallets/exchanges in each sub-portfolio, or the overall portfolio with various allocations (e.g. 10% in sub-portfolio A, and 90% in sub-portfolio B). Users Feature Request: CoinTracker defaults to UTC as the timezone for transactions. As a user, I would like to specify which timezone I am in, so that my transactions match what I see on my local wallet/exchange (which often will let users configure their timezone). As a user, what can I do? Currently, there is no way to set your timezone in CoinTracker. All transactions will be shown in UTC. This means they will sometimes fall into the "wrong" tax year (i.e. trades made around Dec 31st) For uploaded CSVs, it's important to make sure the date/time is in UTC for consistency. If you have a transaction showing in the wrong tax year because of the difference in your time zone to UTC, the best workaround is to edit the transaction and change the date You can upvote this feedback post to indicate you would like this feature added!
